I found out they were releasing a new awning called the batwing and that has lead us to where we are now. After purchasing my rhino rack pioneer platform and backbone system i became hooked on the quality of their products. Initial impressions were high. As well as 2 torn velcro straps at the seams which are used to stow retain the awning.

And the batwing awning from rhino rack has a good feature set overall making it the right choice if you are looking for the best car side awning. There appears to be an extra support perhaps for compatibility with another awning we have a rhino rack batwing. Reviewed in the united states on december 11 2018 unfortunately my batwing came with minor tears on the exterior case may have been due to shipping. Setup and teardown are pretty easy once you get the order down and learn the correct folding pattern to get everything back in the bag.
