Revit joining too different roof.
This is a general procedure for joining roofs.
Changing the slope angle.
To do this method you need to select the roof and edit the roof footprint.
I need a suspension rod a simple extrusion or swept profile to hold up a canopy with the angle from mounting point to support point and the angle of rotation off the center of the mounting point flexible.
As revit does its roof calculations to the underside of the roof it is the inside intersection that is perfectly centred between the 2 walls and not the external intersection ridge.
You can join a roof to the top face of another roof and the wall below that roof if you select the wall as the target.
If you see the symbol then the edge will be generated having slope.
Click edit footprint to enter the sketch mode.
The value can be different for each edge.
I ve been trying to figure out how this can be done.

Use it to extend the dormer roof to the main roof.
The wall must be attached to the target roof and the target roof must be a footprint roof.
You can adjust this of course but as there are 2 differing slopes assuming the roof thickness is the same for both slopes it is of course impossible for both junctions to be centred.
Create a dormer opening.
In other words i want to enter the plan angle and the side elevation angle as.
Located in the architecture tab this tool is used to create a dormer shaped hole in the main roof.
