Try to shave off only the outside of the carpet fiber where the burn is.

Vacuum any debris away. 1 iron to use heat to adhere the new carpet to floor 1 towel or similar cloth. Use a razor blade to remove as much of the burned carpet as possible. Comb the area with a wide toothed comb to restore the fibers and blend the area in with the other carpet.
