Step 2 pull the tabs.

The bottom of the window will pull out when the sash is lifted.
Place one hand on the top half of the lower jamb liner and pull the bottom of the lower jamb liner away from the window frame.
Remove the stops either by unscrewing them from the window frame or if no screws are used by prying them away from the frame using a small pry bar or large screwdriver.
Then push the sash in toward the side that you pushed up.

In order to dislodge these tabs from the window frame you ll have to push up on the right side or left it doesn t matter much of the sash.
Also if you re concerned about the window glass breaking put masking tape in an x over the glass before you start lifting it out.
Remove this type of vinyl jamb liner by working a stiff putty knife between the window stop and the track.
