Remove Liquid Soap From Carpet

Cover the area that has the laundry detergent embedded in it with the hot water.

Then use a wet dry vacuum cleaner to clean up excess water from the carpet. Continue blotting using fresh paper towels as needed until they no longer absorb any moisture. Scoop up as much of the liquid laundry detergent as you can from the top of the carpet fibers. Apply pressure as you are scraping to remove as much of the shampoo as possible.

Next use a paper towel to blot the area.

Step 1 wipe up as much of the soap as possible with a clean dry towel.
