Rekey Master Door Lock

Unless a lock is malfunctioning or a totally different style is desired many locks can be rekeyed and kept in service operating as well or better than ever.

If there are screws in the doorknob loosen and remove them with a screwdriver to remove the knob. Insert the pins and reassemble the lock dump out the old pins insert the new key and use tweezers or small needle nose pliers to match the new colored pins to the color code on the special instruction sheet. Remove the exterior doorknob or lock face. To allow for entry using your original and master keys change the pins in the lock mechanisms in each door.

Once the new pins are in reverse the steps to reassemble the lock.
